Lotus
Takes you back to your roots, back to what makes you, you. She wants you to consider who you would be without all of the business around you. When you get quiet or lost in thought where do you go?
Lotus wants to invite you into her woods. Into the quiet escape from civilization where you can hear that tiny inner voice calling for attention. It may be your inner child that was never heard or allowed to play freely or that artist inside you that was never allowed to express itself. Lotus wants you to remember her/him. To give them their chance to shine.
Lotus takes you back to simpler times. Sit with her in meditation or actually go out into the forest with her. Explore, and be curious. Leave your worries outside for a while as you collect your peace once again. It’s been a while. Take off your shoes and ground your energies into Mother Earth as she cleanses your energy and then fills you back up with a higher vibration. Give all of your worries to her and know that Mama will take care of them.
Lay with Lotus in the grass and look to the sky. Wonder and imagine a whole new world where you are not so busy that you can not hear yourself think. Where you do things at your own pace, and time seems to not exist. Time is slowed and there is enough in a day to do everything you want to do.
Lotus wants you to reconnect with Mother Earth, your first Mother. Allow her to heal you and comfort you as only a Mother’s love can. Go to her and be accepted for everything you are and are not. Where you have nothing to prove and are in perfect balance.
Lotus may make you want to garden or surround yourself with plants. In the care of them you are caring for yourself. As you slow down to tend to them and watch them grow, you grow. In their care, you find peace. As you shower them with love and encouragement to thrive, you begin to thrive. Your inner voice becomes louder and you can hear it clearly now. You start to nourish it too, allowing it to express itself in your life. You make room for those yearnings in your heart and make time for your joy. You become a priority in your life again, the way you were to yourself as a child. You come first and you now know that it is not only ok, but necessary for a joyful life.
Lotus takes you back to you. The you, you were before you had to be everything to everyone else. Lotus breathes life back into your deepest desires and reminds you that you need no ones permission. You are free again…go…be free, to find yourself and invite her/him home.
 
Cleanse Lotus with blessed waters (simply say a prayer or affirmation over the water while holding it in your hands, breathing life force energy into it). Cleanse her with sage, cedar, or palo santo also. Lay her on the Earth to recharge her and cleanse her. Make sure to do these same things for yourself as you do them for her. This is what she has come to teach you. Treat yourself as you would a beautiful Lotus flower. With admiration, appreciation, gentleness and love.
